Habitual Strangers is a dynamic local band from Chattanooga, Tennessee, known for their captivating blend of blues, classic rock, and alternative covers and originals. The band currently features six talented musicians: Jess, Dave, Wayne, Paige, Sean and Luke.
Fronted by the powerhouse vocals and magnetic stage presence of Jessica Lloyd, Habitual Strangers delivers a rich, full-bodied sound. Rhythm guitarist Wayne adds depth and dimension with his melodic layering. Paige anchors the groove with her steady, thumping bass lines, and Dave drives the heartbeat of the band from behind the drum kit. Rounding out the sound, Sean elevates each performance with his masterful keyboard work and smooth vocal harmonies, bringing it all together with finesse.

Jessica Lloyd - "JESS"
Lead Vocalist - Boss - Writer
Born and raised in Connecticut, Jess has been singing since childhood—starting with driveway concerts and living room shows for her family. She trained at The Greater Hartford Academy for the Arts, exploring jazz, classical, and musical theatre.
After a long hiatus from music following a tough NYU audition, Jess reignited her passion in 2020, returning with new purpose and power. Her debut solo album, Spiritual Cabaret (2023), blends dreamy vocals with retro indie-pop, rock, jazz, and blues, echoing themes of love, resilience, and acceptance.
With a voice that’s both powerful and soul-stirring, Jess commands the stage and connects deeply with every audience. But she’s more than just the frontwoman, she’s the method behind the madness, keeping the band organized, focused, and moving forward.
Luke Clarke - "Sir Luke"
Lead guitarist
Originally from Georgia and Florida with a chapter in Alaska, Luke is a man of faith, a proud father, and an electrician by trade.
His love for music began in elementary and junior high school, where he took piano lessons and loved playing songs for his family and friends. In 1997, after a friend passed down an acoustic guitar and a VHS lesson tape, he became obsessed with the guitar…pushing through sore fingers and worn-out tapes, falling in love with the magic of making music with his own hands.
Luke has played in pop bands, alternative rock bands, and praise bands, and he brings that same heart into everything he plays. Genre doesn’t matter if the song moves him, he’s in. Whether he’s on stage or playing at home, he lets the mood of the music guide every note.
Wayne - "The Lionheart"
Rhythm Guitar - Founder
Born in Taipei and raised in Georgia, Wayne is a proud father of five, grandfather of three, and lifelong musician. He’s been playing guitar since he was 12 and has performed everything from garage rock to European tours with his former band Atomic Eyes. He also plays bass, mandolin, and harmonica in his church band, keeping music a daily part of life.
Wayne got Habitual Strangers off the ground, bringing the right people together and setting the tone from day one. We call him “Lionheart” — not because he’s loud about it, but because his big heart and steady presence are the reason this band exists.
Dave - "Sha-Dave"
Drummer - Gig COordinator
Born in Indianapolis and the youngest of five, Dave’s musical journey kicked off in the fifth grade with a school band and a pawn shop drum kit in 1975. From high school gigs with Cerebus to pounding the skins for Indy’s first punk band, Latex Novelties, Dave has been a fixture in the music scene for decades.
He’s shared stages with icons like the Ramones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and more—and even got a nod from Todd Rundgren, who once said he looked like Billy Idol with his signature bleached hair.
Dave brings unmatched experience and energy to the band, driving their blues-rock sound with precision and power. As the group’s most seasoned musician, he also handles booking and gig coordination, keeping the show rolling both on and off the stage.
Paige "Thumper"
Bassist - Social Media/Content Creator
Born in Naples, Italy, and raised in Orlando, Paige spent nearly two decades in San Diego before relocating to Chattanooga in 2023—where she instantly fell in love with Tennessee and finally got to experience the seasons.
Her love for music began early, strumming her dad’s beat-up acoustic guitar. Though sports took center stage for many years, a Christmas gift from her wife—a bass guitar—rekindled that passion in 2021. Since then, Paige has thrown herself into playing and now lives out her dream as a proud member of Habitual Strangers.
In addition to laying down the low end, Paige manages the band’s social media presence, keeping fans connected and in the loop. Outside the band, she enjoys hiking, paddling, plants, coffee, and time with her two pups, Saige and Suki.
Sean
Keys - Backup vocals - Writer
Born in Knoxville and raised in Chattanooga, Sean has been playing in bands since 2009. From synth metal to country, alt rock to classic rock—his versatility and stage experience run deep.
A pediatric nurse by day and performer by night, he’s opened for acts like Collective Soul, Hinder, and Sevendust, with the Tivoli Theatre as his favorite venue so far. Influenced by legends like Elton John, Stevie Nicks, and Roy Bittan, Sean brings rich texture to the band’s sound.
He’s also a brilliant writer, adding lyrical and creative depth to Habitual Strangers' evolving story.
